On May 20, 2016, for all of the Ambica employees, all roads went to the cozy and relaxing facilities of the Canyon Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas, for its Annual Performance Awards and Team-Building activities.

All of the Ambica employees were brought to the area as  early as 7:00 in the morning of May 20 from the Ambica Corporate Office sporting Hawaiian-inspired costumes and outfits which happen to be the this year’s theme. The long travel and the traffic on the way to Nasugbu were all gone as the whole Ambica contingent were all greeted with the relaxing ambiance and view of the beach and facilities of the venue.

The day’s activity started with the Ambica Annual Performance Awards with presentations from different assigned groups uttering the products of the company. Sporting their Hawaiian-inspired costumes, everybody participated in the presentations ranging from serious to comedic acts depicting Ambica as a prime pillar of the Philippine pharmaceutical industry. The Top Sales Representative Award was bagged by Mr. Edward dela Cruz for second consecutive year, followed by Ms. Mary Grace Oliva and Mr. Noel Decandido.

The Ambician of the Year Award was given to Ms. Mary Grace Oliva for being consistent in sales for the fiscal year of 2015. Different service awards were also given to the top managers and departments as well as the rank and file employees of Ambica. Team-building activities dominated the afternoon of the Ambica contingent. The company was divided into four different teams who competed in different games ranging from the traditional sack rice to the bizarre hoola-hoop race.

The evening activities were brought to the beachfront of the Canyon Cove where the dinner and the company party and get-together happened. Everybody went all-out for these unwinding activities which aimed to untangle the barriers among employees and departments. The morning-after was greeted by the sunrise and breakfast at the beach. With time running out, most of the Ambica people went for a good morning swim. Activities such as this provide relief from the stress of the daily operations of Ambica.

After all, Ambica is not just a company, it’s a FAMILY.
